Mrs. Yvonne B. Bly

March 12, 1921 - June 19, 2014

Yvonne B. Bly, 93, of Elm Street in Claremont, NH died Thursday (June 19) at Elm Wood Center at Claremont following a period of failing health. She was born in Claremont, NH on March 12, 1921 the daughter of Foster and Blanche (Neider) LaPointe and had been a lifetime Claremont resident. She attended St. Mary Schools. Yvonne had been employed part time at Puritan Clothing in Claremont. Yvonne was an avid Boston Celtics fan. On June 3, 1939 she married Robin N. Bly; he predeceased her on June 18, 2005. Members of her family include four sons, Larry Bly and his wife, Brenda, Wilson, NC; Jerry Bly and his wife, Shirley, Nathan Bly and his wife, Marion, Robert Bly and his wife, Cecelia all of Claremont, NH; 12 grandchildren, Larry, Lisa, Lori Carol, Steven, Tammy, Randy, Robin, Cory, Tara, Andrew, Geoffrey, many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 3 bothers, Pete LaPointe, Louis LaPointe, and Wilfred “Red” LaPointe. . Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday at the Roy Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Friends may call at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, NH on Monday evening from 6 – 8 pm. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Mary Parish Renovation Fund, 32 Pearl Street, Claremont, NH 03743. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Roy Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
