Ronald Thibault

April 26, 1934 - January 5, 2011

Portland, ME Ronald Fernand Thibault at the age of 76 has passed away peacefully at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine on January 5, 2011 with his loving family by his side after a long illness. He was born in Stratford Center, Canada on April 26, 1934 the son of Omer and Cleophee (Couture) Thibault. Ron enjoyed history and watching the New England Patriots with his grandchildren. Ron was a lover of animals and had quite a variety of animals over the years. Ron, also known as Nedo, enjoyed talking to people and having long discussions about life. He was employed by Joy Manufacturing for 32 years, retiring in 1987. Ron then went on to further his career by going back to school and receiving his high school diploma. He then trained to become educated in book keeping using computer software. He was then employed by Micro Systems Management until his retirement in 1996. He was predeceased by his mother and father, an infant brother Norman, and brothers Hercules, Bertrand, and Lucien. He was also predeceased by his ex-wife, and mother of his children, Marjorie Barber Patrick. He is survived by his five sisters Arline Griggs, Jeannette Seymour, Marie Hurd, Jeanine Perry, and Suzanne Boucher all of Claremont, NH; a brother, Paul Thibault, Claremont, NH;  two daughters,  Deborah Fortin and her husband Brian of Barrington, RI;  Sharon Thibault of Providence, RI;  two sons, Ricky Thibault and his wife Beth of Claremont, NH;  Randy Thibault and his wife Debbie of Scarborough, ME; six grandchildren, Willow Fortin of San Francisco, CA;  Ezekiel Fortin and his wife Jessica of Warren, RI, Taylor Thibault of Claremont, NH; Megan and Cameron Thibault of Scarborough, ME; Josh Thibault, Portland, OR;  and many nieces and nephews. The family extends its genuine gratitude to the Scarborough rescue squad, the Maine Medical emergency room staff, and Doctor Zietlan and his staff at Intermed. Services will be observed privately within the family..
