Claremont, NH Marilyn D. Burbee, 90 passed away on May 2, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Sharon, VT on August 20, 1923 the daughter of Harold and Nellie (Sleeper) Day. Marilyn attended school in Sharon, VT and graduated from high school in South Royalton, VT. Marilyn was a member of the Congregational Church for more than 50 years and a past member of the King’s Daughters. Marilyn had resided in Claremont, NH for more than 60 years. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Raymond J. Burbee, Claremont, NH; a son, Jon C. Trottier and his wife Caryn, Rochester, NY; a stepson, Jason S. Burbee, Claremont, NH; a sister, Katherine Lavigne, Essex Junction, VT; sister in laws, Rosalie Day, White River Jct., VT; Madeline (Burbee) Narkewicz, Clearwater, FL; a special friend, Rita Doyle, Sharon, VT; a special cousin, Ona Forty, Barton, VT; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Querbach, two brothers, Maurice Day and Gordon Day, a half brother, Calvin Day and a step daughter Galaxie Anne Burbee. Friends may call at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, NH on Thursday from 1 – 2 PM. Following visitation the funeral procession will leave for Sharon, VT where graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm with Pastor Duane Brown, pastor of the Sharon Congregational Church, officiating. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Connecticut Valley Homecare/Hospice, 958 John Stark Highway, Newport, NH 03773.
