Mrs. Dorothy G. Gagne

Unity, NH Dorothy G. Gagne, 78 of Heritage Drive in Claremont, NH died Sunday (October 26) at Sullivan County Healthcare in Unity, NH following a period of failing health. She was born in Kingsbury, ME on January 2, 1936 the daughter of Rexton and Violet (Bean) (Short) Thompson and had been a longtime area resident. Dorothy had been employed as an Operating Room Technician by Valley Regional Hospital. She enjoyed needle crafting, knitting, crocheting and reading. During the 1960’s and 1970’s, Dorothy served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary at American Legion Post #29 in Claremont. On October 15, 1955 she married Francis Gagne. They had just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. Members of her family include, her husband, Francis E. Gagne, Sr., Claremont, NH; two sons, Francis E. Gagne, Jr., Claremont, NH; Larry Gagne, Georgia; four daughters, Elizabeth Poire, Lempster, NH; Michelle Wright, Claremont, NH; Gwendolyn Gagne, California; Deborah Badger, Oregon; nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visiting hours. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday at the Roy Funeral Home, 93 Sullivan Street, Claremont, NH with the Rev. Mr. Paul Boucher of St. Mary Parish, officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Roy Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
